The Shining Plot Explained

The film shows that violence and trauma always repeats itself. In ” The Shining “, The character of Jack Nicholson as Mr. Torrance is shown in the starting – saying he feels he has visited this hotel before. Near the Interval , we see that the imaginary personality Grady who was talking to Mr. Torrance in the toilet says ” You’re the caretaker. You’ve always been the caretaker. ” And at the very last frame of the film , we see that Mr. Torrance was in the photo that was captured in 1921. All of these things lead us to one conclusion that Mr. Torrance is the character which has been reincarnated and his destiny everytime brings him to the hotel where history repeats itself i.e. he brings his family and kills them in the hotel. But this time , it doesn’t happens like that as his wife and son flew away so the story should continue in Doctor Sleep.
