The movie is a very daring take by Director & Writer Hitesh Kewalya on the topic of homosexuality where he has shown how would a normal middle class family react when they get to know about their child’s sexual preference.
The movie is a must watch for each and every part of the society especially from the side of LGBTQ community who have been facing such issue regarding the mental thinking of their Parents and family members. The movie is a must watch for people who like comedy , social awareness , family drama and thought provoking movies.
The key factor in the movie is Hitesh Kewalya’s scripting where he has tried to blend two things – Family Entertainment as well as same sex love. The movie promises a special message at the end for the society as always expected from an Ayushman Khurrana movie. The dialogues are the best thing in the movie which make it more comic at times when you won’t even expect comedy.
The acting performances in the movie proved to be perfect besides Ayushman himself. There are scenes in the movie where his acting start seeming more unrealistic and under the expected level.Besides him, newcomer Jitendra Kumar aka Jeetu ( his YouTube stage name) impresses with his eye enlarging facial expressions.Logically speaking , Jitendra seemed to steal the screen time and spotlight both for the main lead in the movie.
Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao as Suman and Shankar Tripathi again nailed themselves as the perfect reel life couple and parents to Ayushman Khurrana.Manu Rishi and Sunita Rajwar are fantabulous with their dialogue delivery as a cute onscreen couple.
Other good performances have been delivered by Maanvi Gagroo as Goggle/Rajni ,TV star Pankhuri Awasthi as Kusum,Neeraj Singh as Keshav and Bhumi Pednekar in a special appearance.
