In The Shadow Of The Moon is an American science fiction film that is also a murder mystery for the first half and then takes over as a time travel film for the later half. The film is directed by Jim Mickle and released on Netflix on September 27, 2019.

Detective Lockhart is obsessed with a serial killer girl who starts her killings in 1988 in which Lockhart sees her dying in front of his eyes in a chase. Nine years later, the killings start again in the same way as before and Lockhart encounters the girl again where she disappears.

In The Shadow Of The Moon is might be a good film for a sci fi geek and also enjoyable. While a person trying to watch it for a murder mystery thriller might be disappointed with the plot. It stars stars Boyd Holbrook, Cleopatra Coleman, and Michael C. Hall as Lockhart , granddaughter and Holt.

Lockhart’s own personal life becomes a mess and he misses his own daughter’s childhood in researching about the case. In 2006, he again encounters the girl , this time to the extent that he gets to know about her a little more and where she goes everytime. In 2015 , Lockhart discovers a truth that is connected with his own personal life and brokes him down.
